Terms of Service

Last updated 7 August 2026

These terms govern your use of ChargebackDossier (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you are using the Service for a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

What the Service is

ChargebackDossier is a record-keeping and drafting tool for merchants responding to payment card chargebacks. It helps you organise evidence, score the completeness of a case, generate draft response letters, and export a PDF evidence packet.

The Service is not legal advice and does not guarantee any outcome. Whether a chargeback is reversed is decided by the cardholder's issuing bank and the relevant card network rules, not by us. The case strength score is a completeness checklist, not a prediction. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you submit it.

Your account

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload: case records, evidence files, notes, and generated documents. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process, and display that content back to you so the Service can function.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so does not breach any duty of confidentiality or data protection obligation you owe to your customers.

Drafted documents

Case reviews, evidence reviews, and response letters are produced by a language model from the case data you enter. Model output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Every draft is provided for you to check and edit. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of anything you send to a bank or payment processor.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to submit information you know to be false, to impersonate another business, to upload malware, to attempt to access other users' data, or to place unreasonable load on the infrastructure.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages, and faults happen. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, including a missed dispute deadline. Deadlines remain your responsibility to track.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost disputes, or indirect or consequential losses.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. On termination we will delete your data in line with the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the application before they take effect.
